For those readers who are unaware of the history of Al-Hassan EC, In the Leeds 7,8 and 9 areas in the year 2000, there were 3 Masaajids which were serving the needs of the local Muslim community, These Masaajids were providing daily praying facilities as well as holding Hifz and Quranic classes in the evening. However, there were no Hifz, Arqabic or Urdu classes being held for the girls.
Another urgent need for the Muslim community in Leeds was that there were no Aalim classes taking place. Parents had to send their children to boarding schools in different cities. The nearest Aalim classes were only to be found in nearby towns of Bradford, Dewsbury and Batley. For many parents this was a big problem, due to travelling and the inconvenience caused by it. |
